New Space Campus for Luxembourg space companies
During a press conference held on 3 August 2022, the Minister for the Economy, Franz Fayot, and the Minister for Higher Education and Research, Claude Meisch, presented the concept of the future "Space campus" which will be dedicated exclusively to the space sector in order to ensure the competitive position of companies and public research institutions in this field. The infrastructure project aims to facilitate the installation and regrouping of national and international space ecosystem actors who are already present or who wish to settle in Luxembourg.
The site of the Poudrerie de Luxembourg in Kockelscheuer for activities directly linked to companies
The main site of the "Space campus" with a total surface of almost 7 hectares will be located in Kockelscheuer (commune of Roeser) in the ParcLuxite for high-tech activities. The site will house the headquarters of the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) as well as activities directly related to space companies. Located on the site of the former Poudrerie de Luxembourg, this unique infrastructure integrates office space, shared technical infrastructure (including a 3,000m2 test centre) and an incubator to host start-ups in the space sector. The new infrastructure, for which the foundation stone is to be laid in 2024, will be developed in accordance with best practice in terms of the environment, urban mobility and human well-being. The first buildings are expected to be operational in 2026.

This is indeed a great initiative. RespectUs, a full member of the Luxembourg space ecosystem, is very interested in knowing conditions for joining the space campus in Kockelscheuer.
