Export Control News - Corona Vaccines now export controlled
The COVID-19 virus continues to spread rapidly within the Union, with severe consequences in terms of public health – in particular with a dramatic number of fatal outcomes – as well as economic and societal disruption.
An export authorisation shall now be required for the export of vaccines against SARS-related coronaviruses (SARS-CoV species) falling under CN code 3002 20 10, irrespective of their packaging. It will also cover active substances including master and working cell banks used for the manufacture of such vaccines.
The license shall be granted by the competent authorities of the Member State where products covered by this regulation are manufactured.
