EU updates Common Military List on export of technology and equipment

The EU Common Military List is a shared set of rules on a European level on exportations of military technology, such as weapons, artillery or aircraft (both UAV and RPV). The latest update, on 22 February 2022, replaced the older set of rules, of which the first edition was created in 2008.

Other than the above mentioned, EU member countries are regulated also by the Arms Trade Treaty, signed in 2014.

According to European treaties, export of military technology in a wide sense is a matter to be governed by national law, although these regulations, including the present list, provide with a minimum set of standard rules to which member states have to comply.
